Karuna Website
WEBSITE REDEVELOPMENT
As a specialist in-home palliative care provider, Karuna was facing a digital challenge - to evolve their outdated website into a compassionate, information-immersive online hub. Karuna wanted to bridge the gap between service delivery and connection with the community - empowering people to build their death literacy and find clarity and comfort online, while navigating one of life’s most challenging chapters.
Through LCC Group’s insights-led rebrand process with the Karuna community, we found that most people associated death negatively - something they are afraid to talk, or even think about. Grounded in Karuna’s Buddhist principles and acknowledging that death for each person is intensely personal, LCC Group was intent on creating an online platform that could help meet each individual on their journey, enabling Karuna to raise awareness and educate people about the peace of death on a much larger scale.
INSIGHT
Guided by the insights gained through Karuna’s rebrand, the website redevelopment focused on the interdependence of a person’s health and social care systems. We moved beyond simple service listings to create a "people-centric" digital ecosystem. By integrating a new Resource Hub, we transformed the site into a reputable educational tool that demystifies end-of-life care, grief and loss. The user experience was simplified to reflect Karuna’s core values of humility and kindness, ensuring that whether a user is a clinician, a carer, or a person living with a life-limiting illness, they feel informed, empowered, and supported.
